SRIAATU Welcomes New Member

Wang Yi, Vice President of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT), met with Lê Quân, President of Hanoi Architectural University (HAU), at XAUATs Yanta Campus on the morning of October 14. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation, which marks HAU’s entry in to the SRIAATUHeads of XAUATs Office of International Affairs and College of Architecture attended the meeting, which was chaired by Wang Chunmei, Director of the Office of International Affairs.

Extending a warm welcome to Lê and his delegation, Wang Yi briefed them on XAUAT’s history, academic characteristics, international exchanges and cooperation, and reviewed the cooperative achievements in faculty exchanges between the two universities.

Wang said, China and Vietnam have witnessed a great progress in their relations under the guidelines of “lasting stability, future-oriented thinking, friendly neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation and the spirit of good neighbors, good friends, good comrades and good partners.

She hoped the two universities could work together to leverage their advantages in industry, teaching and research under the framework of the SRIAATU and stay committed to educational cooperation, in order to contribute to building a closer China-Vietnam community with a shared future.

Lê Quân thanked XAUAT for its warm hospitality. He briefed the XAUAT participants on HAU’s educational philosophy, history, scale of faculty and students, and international exchanges, adding that HAU is a university directly under Vietnams Ministry of Construction and the first institution in Vietnam to establish a doctoral program in architecture.

He hoped to take joining the SRIAATU as an opportunity to carry out joint training of talents and international cooperation in science and technology with XAUAT, so as to build a platform featuring practical cooperation for teachers and students of the two universities.
