Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) held an admission webinar on October 9 to provide the freshmen who are about to study at the International School of Architecture in Osh Technological University (OshTU) with detailed introduction and professional guidance.
Wu Yu, Vice Dean of XAUAT’s School of International Education, gave a comprehensive introduction to XAUAT’s history, academic characteristics, faculty, international exchanges and cooperation. She also briefed the students on and answered questions about topics including the scale of XAUAT’s international students, admissions policies, learning and living environment, and scholarships.
Associate Professor Wu Rui from XAUAT’s College of Architecture and Associate Professor Xue Yicong from College of Civil Engineering gave detailed introductions to majors of architecture and civil engineering respectively. Kadyrova Nadira, an OshTU student who once studied in XAUAT, shared her experiences and gains in XAUAT.
The webinar not only provided the inaugural group of students of the school with an in-depth understanding of XAUAT, but also laid a solid foundation for their future study in China two years later. In the future, the two universities will deepen cooperation in the talent training plan, arrangement of teachers and “Chinese Bridge” student exchange program.
As an important carrier of educational cooperation between China and the Kyrgyz Republic, XAUAT-OshTU International School of Architecture will provide effective support for XAUAT to expand the scale of international students, diversify the channels of enrollment, optimize the origins of students and get included in China’s “Double First-Class” program.
