A video conference was held on the afternoon of September 29 between Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) and Osh Technological University (OshTU) on the development of XAUAT-OshTU International School of Architecture.

Participants included heads of OshTU’s International Department, Department of Educational Affairs and Faculty of Architecture and Construction, as well as XAUAT’s Office of International Affairs, School of International Education, College of Architecture, College of Civil Engineering, and School of Language, Literature and Law.

Shabdanov Musa Dobulovich, Dean of OshTU’s Faculty of Architecture and Construction, briefed the participants on the enrollment of students majoring in civil engineering and architecture. He also detailed key topics such as the registration of the inaugural group of students, finalization of the talent training plan and arrangement of teachers.

Wang Chunmei, Director of XAUAT’s Office of International Affairs and Dean of the School of International Education, said that the International School of Architecture is a symbol of deepened and expanded cooperation between the two universities under the witness of the education authorities of China and the Kyrgyz Republic.

Wang added, both sides need to work together with greater efforts to speed up the resolution of constraints and focus on promoting the specific work of the school, so as to promote a high-quality development of the school with more practical measures.

In order to further expand enrollment and attract high-quality students to visit China, XAUAT plans to fund a 2026 “Chinese Bridge” student exchange program, in which students of the International School of Architecture will experience studying and living in China for a short period of time.
