Forum of School of Language, Literature and Law Held Successfully during 2025 Conference of SRIAATU

During the 2025 Conference of SRIAATU, the Forum of School of Language, Literature and Law was held successfully by the School of Language, Literature and Law of Xian University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) at its Yanta Campus on the afternoon of May 15.


With the theme of Deepening Cultural Exchanges and Promoting Area Studies, the forum featured in-depth discussions on topics such as development of disciplines, international cooperation and future plans for the Institute of Area Studies.


Present at the forum were Ainura Isirailova, Head of the Department of Higher, Secondary Vocational and Postgraduate Education of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education and Science, Akmataliev Asanbek Turgunbaevich, Vice Rector of Osh Technological University (OshTU), Abdullaev Ulan, Director of OshTU Department of Educational Affairs, Song Hong, Secretary of the CPC Committee of XAUAT School of Language, Literature and Law, Fan Pengfei, Dean of XAUAT School of Language, Literature and Law.


Other heads of the School of Language, Literature and Law and over 60 teachers attended the forum, which was chaired by Yuan Qinghua, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee of XAUAT School of Language, Literature and Law and Vice Dean of the school.


Fan Pengfei briefed the participants in detail on the development of XAUAT, the school, its disciplines and majors as well as talent training. He said, the school will establish a three-dimensional system of talent training covering language, area studies and technology, and looked forward to building an academic community for Central Asian studies on the basis of mutual complementarity with OshTU.


Akmataliev Asanbek Turgunbaevich, who is also a part-time professor of XAUAT, and Abdullaev Ulan made a report respectively, in which they gave a detailed introduction to the academic advantages of the Kyrgyz Republic and OshTU, and illustrated the historical ties between China and the Kyrgyz Republic as well as the similarities and relevance between the two countries in terms of culture and language with vivid examples.

At the forum, participants from the two sides had in-depth discussions on the future development of the Institute of Area Studies and cooperation.


Fan said in the closing remarks that under the framework of the XAUAT-OshTU Institute of Area Studies, the School of Language, Literature and Law will continuously promote interdisciplinary studies and innovation in knowledge system, give full play to the advantages of XAUAT in liberal arts, science and engineering, and carry out in-depth and systematic country and regional research with a focus on Central Asia, so as to contribute XAUATs wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
