President Zhao Xiangmo of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT), Vice President Chen Rong and others visited teachers and students of Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU), who’re in XAUAT for the Northen City Regeneration China-Russia Joint Workshop 2024, on the afternoon of October 16 at the Jia Pingwa Gallery of Literature and Art.Teachers and senior undergraduate students from the two universities participated in the workshop, which is under the support of XAUAT Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Green Building.

Zhao extended a warm welcome to the MGSU teachers and students. Xi’an is a city with a profound historical and cultural heritage, he said, adding that its ancient sites dating back to two hundred years BC and the natural treasure trove of Qinling Mountains to its south all reflect the unique charm of China.He hoped that the MGSU teachers and students will have a deeper understanding of Xi’an and China through practice and learning during the workshop, and that the participants of the two sides will learn from each other’s strengths and make progress together in the one-week exchange.

The MGSU teachers and students thanked Zhao for his encouragement and expressed their firm confidence in completing the tasks of the workshop successfully. The students vowed to deepen exchanges and improve their expertise in the workshop and live up to the expectations of their teachers.

Zhao and others learned about the design plan of the Joint Laboratory Workstation for the Exchange and Exhibition of Green Building Technology, an achievement of the China-Russia Workshop on International Joint Design of Green Building held in the spring semester of 2024.He spoke positively of the design plan and expressed his hope to see more in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the future.
