Three courses of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) will be offered to students of Uzbekistan’s Samarkand State University (SamSU), a member of the SRIAATU, as credit courses under the Confucius China Studies Program (CCSP), according to a notice of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) affiliated with China’s Ministry of Education (MOE).This is the latest endeavor of XAUAT, in the form of SRIAATU cooperation, in serving China’s educational cooperation under the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the university’s latest breakthrough in advancing its international cooperation in talent training. It will help optimize the XAUAT scheme of education of international students and boost its international presence.
The funded courses include “Historic Cities: Protection and Renewal” and “Archaeological Sites: Protection and Utilization” delivered by Professor Chang Haiqing of the College of Architecture, as well as “Introduction to Urban and Rural Morphology” delivered by Associate Professor Li Kun.They will be accessible to SamSU students in a combination of both online and offline modules that last for six weeks.
Supervised by the CLEC, the project of CCSP credit courses aim to deepen high-level academic exchanges in fields of Sinology and China studies in China and foreign countries, and to fund credit courses related to Sinology and China Studies taught by Chinese scholars from Chinese universities for students in foreign universities in the form of online modules or a combination of both online and offline modules.
