China-Russia Workshop on International Joint Design of Green Building Holds Third-phase Presentations-丝路国际建筑科技大学联盟

The third-phase presentations of China-Russia Workshop on International Joint Design of Green Building were held online from May 27 to 28, 2024, between the College of Architecture of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) and Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU).

As one of the themes of architectural design VI of the College of Architecture, the workshop carries forward the teaching philosophy of basic architecture STUDIO and focuses on rapid construction and climate adaptability.

Chinese and Russia students working in teams made in-depth analysis of the site-environment relations, functional layout, structural design, materials and construction of the design project “Energy Efficiency Lab Building”.

Comments were made on each team’s design proposal by experts including MGSU Professor Oleg Adamov, Professor Ekaterina Shafray, Senior Lecturer Anna Korobeinikova and Senior Lecturer Irina Teplova, as well as XAUAT Professor Chen Jing, Associate Professor Li Tao and Lecturer Wu Guanyu.

The presentations showcased the students’ preliminary achievements and has laid a solid foundation for the upcoming exchange in Moscow. Teachers from the two sides discussed the detailed schedule of the visit to Moscow as well as the topic and arrangements of China-Russia Workshop on Joint Urban Design to be held in Xi’an next semester.

This event has further strengthened exchanges between XAUAT and architectural universities in countries along the “Belt and Road”, and conduces to improving international cooperation and promoting win-win results.
