Sino-Russian Green Building International Joint Workshop in the School of Architecture

Preliminary Report

From April 4th to April 5th, 2024, the preliminary presentation of the "Sino-Russian Green Building International Joint Design Workshop," cooperatively organized by the School of Architecture of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology and Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, was held online in Room 238 of the main building. Students from both China and Russia analyzed the urban context, cultural background, climate, and site of the energy-efficient experimental building project and presented preliminary conceptual design proposals. Professors Oleg Adamov, Nina Danilina, Anna Korobeinikova, and Irina Teplova from Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, along with Professors Chen Jing, Associate Professor Li Tao, and Teacher Wu Guanyu from Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, provided feedback on the design proposals of each gr

oup.

After the meeting, lecturers from both China and Russia engaged in in-depth discussions; Professor Oleg Adamov highly praised the design proposals put forward by students from both sides. Through the implementation of this project, students not only presented innovative green building design proposals and facilitated cooperation and exchange between XAUAT and the Russian counterparts in architectural education. It is hoped that through this activity, the internationalization of architectural education at XAUAT can be further enhanced, promoting the integration of scientific research and education as well as innovative development in the direction of green building characteristics, where XAUAT holds advantages.
