XAUAT News Network: The delegation from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), led by Vice President Tsolmonbaatar Danjkhuu, visited XAUAT on October 19, 2023. XAUAT President Zhao Xiangmo welcomed the delegation in the conference room of the Administrative Building. Officials and representatives from the Office of International Affairs and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering were also present. The meeting was hosted by Vice President Wang Yi.
President Zhao warmly welcomed the delegation and appreciated MUST's participation in the Silk Road International Alliance of Architectural and Technological Universities (SRIAATU). He expressed his anticipation for active and practical collaboration with member universities of the "Alliance." President Zhao highlighted XAUAT's significant achievements in recent years and the preparatory work for SRIAATU. He expressed the hope for increased cooperation between the two higher-education universities. He mentioned the meeting between the leaders of China and Mongolia in November of the previous year, where the two nations were recognized as comprehensive strategic partners. He emphasized the need to deepen exchanges and cooperation in culture, education, science, and technology, particularly among young people, and to encourage collaboration between educational and scientific institutions to promote people-to-people exchanges. President Zhao expected that this meeting and the opportunity to co-sponsor the establishment of the "Alliance" would mark the beginning of a new chapter of friendship and cooperation. He emphasized the importance of working together on developing architectural science and technology along the Silk Road and jointly contributing wisdom and strength to building a better home for all.
Danjkhuu expressed gratitude for XAUAT's hospitality and highly appreciated XAUAT's proposal for SRIAATU. He briefly introduced the basic situation of MUST and expressed willingness to promote practical cooperation among universities based on the "Alliance" framework. He also expressed interest in diverse cooperation in talent cultivation, joint scientific research, and humanistic exchanges.
Later that day, the delegation continued discussions with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and visited XAUAT's school history gallery.
